SeerPharma Sponsors BioMelbourne “Corporate Culture and Risk” Session

As part of our commitment to the local biotech sector, SeerPharma was proud to sponsor a BioMelbourne Network session on Corporate Culture and Risk earlier this year.

The evening focused on how successful decision-making is strongly influenced by an organisation’s culture which is concerned with how decisions are made in the context of change.

Companies working in the biotechnology and medical technology sectors all take on risks in order to achieve their business objectives against the backdrop of a constantly changing regulatory and commercial environment.

Building a strong organisational culture is therefore a key part of the approach to risk management, both in terms of preventing ‘bad’ outcomes from happening but also to actively empower the positive risk-taking necessary for successful innovation.

The session explored approaches to tackling risk as an opportunity and how to empower people to make better decisions in the context of a changing healthcare landscape.

It was fascinating to hear a rigorous discussion on how corporate culture can be improved within our sector.

In our experience, we’ve found that poor Quality Assurance practices stems from a poor culture. This led us to develop one of our most popular training courses on behavioural GMP.
