I grew up in Far North Queensland, surrounded by the Daintree rainforest and the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park. This sparked my passion for investigating tropical fruits and the health benefits of traditional medicines.

After completing a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree in Sydney, I returned to Cairns in 2011 to start my business. I undertook further training in compounding and formulating to develop cosmetic, skincare and nutraceutical products using unique Far North Queensland raw materials.

I applied for the SeerPharma scholarship as I am an independent, 100% female-owned and operated small business in regional Far North Queensland.

The UTS Good Manufacturing Practice course has empowered me to fulfil my GMP knowledge gaps using real-world industry examples. The course has allowed me to collaborate with colleagues currently working in large pharmaceutical companies and government organisations, thereby expanding my professional network and gaining real-world industry experience.

It has equipped me with valuable resources to assist with the design, layout, and validation of a GMP facility. Upon completion of the course, I am confident the facility will be compliant and exceed expectations of industry standards.

The SeerPharma Scholarship is an initiative to support working professionals interested in pursuing a formal academic postgraduate qualification in Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP). Click here for more information on the Scholarship.
