I have been fortunate in that I have had the opportunity to work in a range of Quality Assurance (QA), Quality Control (QC) and Regulatory Affairs (RA) roles across the pharma sector for many years. This has given me lots of valuable insight but does not mean that there aren't still things to be learned. Particularly in an international regulatory landscape that is constantly changing and with various aspects of the GMP concept developing.

I felt that the UTS GMP course could help me ensure that my knowledge remains contemporary to allow me to perform my role with confidence that it reflects best practices in the industry.

I had been keeping my eyes on this course for several years actually, but living and working in Brisbane didn't make it possible until the course was made available online.

I commenced the course in 2022 and it exceeded my expectations. The online course was really well structured and it covered many relevant aspects of the GMP concept. It also enabled students to directly interact with the lecturers who were all very knowledgeable in their respective fields.

Throughout the course, students were encouraged to think critically. One thing that I found particularly nice was that this was done whilst promoting a positive feedback culture among students. I have more than once been thinking that some people in the workforce that I've come across would benefit from learning this.

Now having completed the master course, I can see the benefit from combining the learnings with the practical side of my work. The course had a lot of investigational elements to it which in many ways reflects the nature of QA and RA roles. This has enabled me to find new avenues to source reliable and current information, making the learnings valuable not just right now, but also for many years to come.
