The Parenteral Drug Association (PDA) is the foremost global provider of scientific, technological, and regulatory education and resources for the pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical sectors. Established in 1946 as a nonprofit organisation, PDA is dedicated to advancing science and regulation through the expertise of its nearly 10,000 members worldwide.
PDA operates globally through regional chapters, including in the Asia-Pacific region, which is represented by chapters in Australia, India, Japan, Korea, Singapore, and Taiwan.
Recently, the PDA India Chapter hosted a workshop and conference on Supply Chain Resilience and Quality Management Maturity (QMM), bringing together speakers from the US FDA and industry leaders from top pharmaceutical manufacturing organisations in India. The event took place from September 18th-20th in Bangalore.
The focus of the workshop and conference extended beyond traditional Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), emphasising proactive and anticipatory actions to prevent issues before they occur. This forward-thinking approach is key to building a resilient, future-proof supply chain.
Quality Management Maturity (QMM) promotes a culture where quality is deeply embedded in every aspect of the business. It involves integrating advanced management practices, fostering continuous improvement, and minimising risks across all departments, ensuring that quality remains a central focus throughout the organisation.
