SeerPharma is proud to sponsor and serve as a judge at the 2026 MedHack event, hosted by Monash Young MedTech Innovators (MYMI) in collaboration with Machine Learning & AI (MLAI).
MYMI is a student-led organisation affiliated with Monash University, dedicated to bridging the gap between medicine, technology, and entrepreneurship. MLAI is a not-for-profit, volunteer-driven community of more than 11,000 members — from students and data scientists to experienced engineers — established to support Australians in leveraging artificial intelligence to build and scale startups.
As part of their shared mission, MYMI and MLAI will host MedHack 2026, a premier, student-run healthcare innovation hackathon. The event brings together participants at the intersection of design, engineering, healthcare, and entrepreneurship for an intensive 48-hour sprint focused on reimagining the future of healthcare. The event will commence on the 21st of February, with the final pitch night taking place on the 5th of March 2026.
The 2026 program has been designed to unite the healthcare and AI communities to address significant industry challenges and accelerate healthcare innovation across Australia. Participants will be tasked with developing an AI model capable of monitoring simulated patient vital signs (including blood pressure and heart rate) within a hospital ward environment and alerting healthcare staff to potential deterioration. Teams will also be provided with real, de-identified electronic medical record (EMR) data and will collaborate with industry professionals to develop practical, impactful solutions to Australia’s healthcare challenges.
