Artificial Intelligence (AI) and emerging technologies are rapidly advancing, influencing every aspect of business operations, including the biotechnology and life sciences sectors.
SeerPharma has partnered with students from The University of Melbourne's Master of Biotechnology program to conduct a comprehensive survey of the industry and develop scenarios and prototypes that demonstrate the potential uses of these technologies.
This project aims to explore the application of these technologies in both training and competency assessment within these industries.
The students will create practical examples of company processes requiring training and assessment, utilising the following technologies:
- Augmented Reality (AR): AR will be employed to develop interactive scenarios accessible on devices such as phones and tablets, facilitating multi-person training sessions that encourage communication and collaboration. The objective is to create company-specific content that can be utilized internally.
- 360-Degree Video/Photos: This technology will be used to create immersive, interactive training and assessment tools that can be accessed via PC, VR headsets, and other platforms. Students will capture actual company environments and develop prototypes, enabling the company to envision how this technology could be implemented in-house.
- Chatbot Assessment: Chatbots will be used to design scenarios for assessing critical thinking and the completion of company forms and documents based on predetermined rubrics. Students will collaborate with companies to develop examples that can be used to trial this technology.
The students have begun engaging with SeerPharma's clients and connections in the industry. This collaboration aims to produce a detailed report on the impact of AI and emerging technologies on training in the pharmaceutical and medical device industries. The report, which will be published later this year, will offer valuable insights to industry professionals on how to stay agile in the face of technological advancements and evolving work practices. It will also serve as a key resource for Quality Assurance and GMP professionals.
Our partnerships with leading universities across the APAC region, including the University of Melbourne, University of Technology Sydney, Chinese University of Hong Kong, and National University of Singapore, along with our dedication to staying at the forefront of emerging trends in Quality and GMP training, are essential to our mission of advancing best practices in Quality and GMP throughout the region.
