One of the core tenets of IPA’s mission is to:
Member companies of the IPA, play an integral part in the global supply chain of pharmaceuticals.
SeerPharma’s activities in India and across the Asia-Pacific region for over 30 years, has led us to engage with the IPA. Our mission and purpose on the importance of Quality in our sector are in complete alignment. With this, we are delighted to announce that SeerPharma has been invited by the IPA to present a webinar on Thursday the 22nd of April 2021 on lessons learnt from Advancing Quality and GMP Best-Practices in the APAC region.
The Agenda of the webinar is as follows:
1. Introduction and Opening Remarks –
2. Behavioural GMP (bGMP) - Mr David Spaulding, Partner, SeerPharma
Managing your deviations contributes to lost productivity. Investigations consume considerable time and often identify human error as a cause, resulting in more training or more procedures. Frustratingly, this approach rarely works and problems persist. This presentation on behavioural GMP (bGMP) examines why people don’t comply with procedures, either by error or perhaps deliberately, and what can be done about it. You will learn about THREE specific modes of human error and where “retraining” can actually help; but why it doesn’t most of the time.
3. Bioprocessing - Ms Michelle Peake, Senior Consultant, SeerPharma
If you are involved in any part of biopharmaceutical manufacturing or are interested in learning how biologics have taken over the global market from traditional small molecules, this presentation will provide basic introduction to the biopharma industry. The presentation will provide you an understanding of why the manufacturing process and final drug product are so complex and time-consuming, and ultimately, why the final product is expensive and how biosimilars are hoping to tackle this.
4. Supply Chain / Good Distribution Practice (GDP) - Ms Shruti Narayana, Consultant, SeerPharma
This presentation aims to introduce the essential requirements of Good Distribution Practice (GDP) for the regulated industries and provide a better understanding of the concepts of management for the handling, storage, and distribution of medicinal products.
5. How SeerPharma’s clients automate Supply Chain Management using MasterControl – Mr Rohan Bhatia, Partner, SeerPharma
As supply chains grow more sophisticated and global, they also become increasingly vulnerable to a wider range of risks, including disruptive events such as COVID-19. Despite the increased risks, and the profound effect they have on business performance and shareholder value, a recent survey of more than 500 manufacturing executives found that only two thirds of companies have a supplier quality management system in place, and only half of the surveyed executives feel their existing system is effective. Companies that are without a system, or those that are relying on outdated tools, are at a major competitive disadvantage. The use of electronic supplier quality management software can help global companies create stronger, more resilient supply chains. This presentation provides an overview on how MasterControl (the eQMS provider to the US FDA) helps our clients automate supplier management.
The webinar is open to IPA and non-IPA members, and we hope you can join us for this free event.
Date of Webinar: Thursday, 22 April 2021
