Event for Pharmaceutical, Medical Device Quality/Operational Personnel

by SeerPharma

We invite you to attend our inaugural SeerPharma Symposium, which will be held at the Park Hyatt, in Melbourne on Friday the 20th of May.

After 25 years of serving pharmaceutical and medical device professionals in the Asia-Pacific region, we would like bring all of you under the one roof. With this in mind, we’d like the day to focus on “How you can improve your profile within your organisation”.

Your success is tied to how well you can articulate a business case for your initiatives. You may be looking to implement an electronic quality management system; bring in new equipment; expand your current facilities/warehousing; or want to run an internal training course for your employees. All of these activities require an ability to mount a business case.

To help you, the Australian Government has announced a number of initiatives for the Pharmaceutical and Med Tech sector at Federal and State levels.

Sue MacLeman – CEO of the newly announced Pharmaceutical and Med Tech Growth Centre (Australian Government), and  Rebecca Skinner (from the Victorian State Government) will present on initiatives at a Federal and State level.

Mike Sewell and Bruce Kendall will discuss and answer any questions you may have on AusIndustry’s range of grants available to the Pharmaceutical and MedTech sector. Grants from the "Entrepreneur's Program" and "Industry Skills Fund" may  help with any expansion projects and/or training you may be considering.

Following from this, we will have a panel of experienced Quality and Operational managers from the Pharma and the Med Tech industry,  lead a discussion with you on strategies that have helped (and those that haven’t) with getting initiatives across the line. Addressing questions such as:

  • How do you sell your ideas internally?
  • How do you identify risks with any projects that you plan on undertaking?
  • How do you engage with your business managers/accountants/finance people?
  • Have you used Government funding in the past? What are the issues/pitfalls and hopefully some success stories?
  • Do you plan for delays in projects that you run?
  • How do you drive the mantra of Continuous Improvement?

Our latest recruit from the TGA, Andrew Giles, will present on areas that you should focus on from a compliance perspective, while Louise White (SeerPharma Director and Senior Consultant) will discuss the importance of Quality Risk Management to your organisation.

By the end of the day, you will hopefully have a number of tools and ideas to help improve your profile within your organisation.

The SeerPharma Symposium is a vehicle to put you at the centre of discussions.
